The Etsu Nupe and the Chairman of the State Council of Traditional Leaders of Niger, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, reiterated the need for the nation to pay more attention to the education sector.
Alhaji Abubakar made the call when the leadership of the Bida Police Boys Secondary School headed by its Commanding Officer, SP Peter Daniel, paid him a courtesy call at his Wadata Palace in Bida, Bida yesterday. State of Niger.
He said the establishment of the school in the ancient city of Bida has contributed to the development of the land, the state and Nigeria as a whole.
Etsu Nupe said that contributing to the school was indispensable, adding that education is the best legacy that can be passed on to children as future leaders and therefore pledged to maintain his support to ensure the success of the school.
“I urge you to send your children to school as it is a legacy to liberate our children in the future,” he said.
Therefore, he said that parents and those in authority should give education the attention it deserves by promising that its doors would always be open to the school management and that he would use his good offices to facilitate its routine operations.
Alhaji Abubakar said, “I call on parents and guardians to educate their children for personal development and nation building.”
