Earthquake 4.2 of October 18, 2:54 p.m. (GMT +2)

A magnitude 4.2 earthquake occurred just 12 minutes ago 34 km northwest of Ascoli Piceno, Italy, the German Geoscience Research Center (GFZ) reported.
The earthquake struck at a shallow depth of 10 km below the epicenter near Ascoli Piceno, Marche, Italy, in the early afternoon on Monday, October 18, 2021 at 2:54 p.m. local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter and depth of the quake could be revised in the coming hours or minutes, as seismologists review the data and refine their calculations, or when other agencies release their report.
A second report was then released by the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC), which also listed it as a magnitude 4.2 earthquake.
Based on preliminary seismic data, the quake was likely felt by many people in the epicenter area. It should not have caused any significant damage, other than objects falling from shelves, broken glass, etc.
In Bolognola (140 inhabitants) located 3 km from the epicenter, the earthquake should have been felt as slight tremors.
