Silversea confirms long-awaited return to Asia – Travel Weekly


Silversea Cruises has confirmed its long-awaited return to Asia, with four ships—Silver Shadow, Silver Whisper, Silver Spiritand silver muse—planned to sail the region between December 2022 and May 2023.

The intimate, 596 guests silver muse will become the cruise line’s first ship to sail in Asia since March 2020, when it will depart Singapore on December 2, 2022. Silversea’s upcoming Asian season, which includes 25 voyages ranging from 10 to 20 days, includes the following flagship itineraries:

MUMBAI to SINGAPORE – silver spirit December 20, 2022 – January 5, 2023

Guests traveling on board silver spirit Asia’s first cruise of 2022 will be accompanied by renowned travel writer Paul Theroux. Long-time Silversea collaborator Theroux will embark silver spirit during the holiday season to organize various activities on board and interact with other travelers throughout the 16 days of navigation.

After spending time in iconic Hong Kong, guests will board silver spirit on January 19, 2023, departure for Vietnam, with stopovers in Ha Long Bay overnight, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City for two nights, before arriving in Singapore.

For 10 days, the 608-passenger vessel will unlock unforgettable experiences for travelers, including a trip to the ancient town of Hoi An, a tour of the Mekong Delta, a descent into the Cu Chi tunnels and an optional land program at halfway. at Angkor Wat in Cambodia, among others. Guests sailing aboard Silver Spirit from March 8 will discover the great diversity of Asia, traveling deep into Singapore, Thailand, India and Sri Lanka, with overnight stops in Chennai, Colombo and Mumbai offering the opportunity to spend more time in iconic cities. Destinations will include Phuket, Chennai, Trincomalee, Colombo, Cochin, New Mangalore, Mormugao (Goa) and Mumbai.
