Maiora, partner of SPAR Italy, has reopened three recently renovated stores in the province of Cosenza.
The improvements are part of a renovation project focused on sustainability and customer service, the retailer added.
A total of 18 SPAR Italy stores in the region will be modernized by the end of the year.
The stores already renovated are DESPAR stores in Cetraro and INTERSPAR stores in Belvedere Marittimo and San Marco Argentano.
For the Belvedere Marittimo and San Marco Argentano stores, Maiora renovated the existing buildings into a new supermarket format, designed by DESPAR Centro-Sud (Maiora) in collaboration with the University of Parma.
Modernized stores provide a better shopping experience for customers through a wide range of products. HFresh, high-quality Italian produce takes center stage, with a particular focus on local suppliers, SPAR added.
The renovations include the latest generation CO2 cooling systems, increasing energy, efficiency and reliability.
The overall improved sustainability infrastructure is complemented by new LED lighting, air conditioning systems and electronic tags.
SPAR Italy has also taken into account the needs of different buyers and incorporated additional signage and parking spaces for pregnant or disabled buyers.
“With this important project, we intend to pursue our idea of the supermarket of the future. [This provides] a complete, sustainable shopping experience attentive to the needs of all customers, offering not only top quality products, but also excellent service, ”explained Pippo Cannillo, President and CEO of DESPAR Centro-Sud.
“This is our mission, and we are determined to continue in this direction. “
