A stunning £ 400,000 villa set in the Tuscan hills is to be raffled off at just £ 25 per ticket.

The four bedroom residence, which would make an incredible family home or vacation home, is located close to northern Tuscany in central Italy.

Organizers Jon and Annmarie Nurse, both 45, said the contest was a “life-changing” chance for someone to snatch their dream home for next to nothing.

The stone villa has four bedrooms, four bathrooms and a 9.5m by 4m private swimming pool.

It is described as a light, airy and spacious house which “offers the best views at every turn”.

The peaceful retreat will be given fully furnished and ready to move into.

It lies in Garfagnana in the center of the countryside and is close to a number of hilltop villages, national parks and mountains.

The couple have so far raised £ 60,000 for the Children’s Society in two previous raffles and will donate further proceeds from the Tuscan villa.

Jon said: “It could be a truly life-changing opportunity to have your own Tuscan retreat with a beautiful private pool – and it’s up to you to do what you want with it.

“You can experience it and enjoy it – imagine yourself sitting in a nearby plaza sipping an Aperol and tasting the delicious food you get in traditional restaurants.”

He continued, “Alternatively, you can rent this house as a vacation home, or even sell it to give yourself a good nest egg.

“The funds generated by this sale will be put to good use – we know there is a shortage of good housing in the UK, so we want to get involved and make things better for people who need it.

“A stable and nice home should be the cornerstone of every person and every family – it’s the cornerstone that makes society a better place to live. “

In addition to being fully furnished, transfer duties and legal costs will be covered for the winner.
